Good morning from the shoreline.
We’ve got to talk about last week. Over 40% of you voted Abbott’s as the best lobster roll. Now I can’t disagree with data, but I’ve heard the spot for true lobster roll lovers is Stonington Pizza. I’ll let you be the judge.
Thank you for the support your support so far. If you’ve got any feedback reply to this email. I want to make sure this newsletter is useful and serving you.
In other news, this springtime heatwave is just what the doctor ordered. I’ve got big plans to drive around with the windows down with the classics turned all the way up:
Here's what I’ve surfaced this week.
In today’s issue: Record Store Day is Saturday · A sold-out New London party returns · Sustainable seafood and sake nights · Pirate Days at the Seaport · Tequila tastings, petting zoos, and your week on the shoreline
PRESENTED BY: Gillian Rae Photography

Having your wedding photographed is a vulnerable thing. Gillian Mattern gets that. She's not a stranger-with-a-camera, she gets to know her couples before the day so she can catch the moments that actually matter to them. The ugly-cry toast. The quiet look when nobody else is watching. She calls it soul food, and she's right.
Gillian is shoreline-based and booking fast.

Record Store Day Is Saturday
It's Record Store Day on Saturday, the semi-annual celebration of independently owned record stores. Telegraph Autonomous Zone in New London opens at 10am with live music starting at 4pm.
Bridesmaids Is Back on the Big Screen
Mystic Luxury Cinemas is bringing back Bridesmaids starting this Friday. Showtimes and tickets on sale now. This movie is too funny to not watch on the big screen.

Please give a warm welcome to Grover Monster, our first pet of the week! Thank you Jessica for sharing this cute fella with us.

Last week we asked if the Crew would be interested in having a wine tasting event, over 80% of the votes are in favor! Sharing the poll once more for those who missed it then I’ll get starting on planning something! Cheers
Should we organize a Crew wine tasting at one of the shoreline's vineyards?

A few things worth putting on your calendar now:
Monet Inspired Paint & Sip — Channel your inner Monet at Niantic Public House & Brewery. April 26, 1-2:30pm. No experience needed, just bring friends. $55.
2nd Annual Trout Derby at Stone Acres Farm — Free for kids 12 and under, no gear needed. May 2, 8am-12pm in Stonington. Hook & Cook demos on-site.
Project Oceanology Family Day — Free admission, marine science activities for all ages. May 2 in Groton. Pair it with the Trout Derby for a full family Saturday.
Misquamicut SpringFest — Three days of live music, carnival rides, 50+ vendors, and food trucks at Misquamicut State Beach. May 8-10. Kids 8 and under free. Advance tickets $12.
Mother's Day Brunches & Dinners — May 10 is less than a month out. Port of Call, Oyster Club, Haring's Noank, and a pop-up at Stone Acres Farm are all doing something (as is the rest of Mystic I'm sure) Book now before it's too late.

That's your week. Seventy-three degrees on Friday, live music everywhere you look, and enough going on to fill every night through Monday. Pick one thing off the list and get out the door this weekend.
See you around!
