Spring Craft Fair at Mystic Seaport Museum

Friday May 1st, 5pm in the Masin Room at Mystic Seaport. The Friends of the museum are putting on the first-ever spring craft fair: a dozen-plus local artisans showing jewelry, scrimshaw, photography, ironwork, hand-painted sea shells, hand-printed cards, knitted goods, books from local authors — plus whiskey and beer flights to keep your shopping hand steady. Niantic Touch-a-Truck

Saturday May 2nd at the Niantic Children's Museum. Kids climb into the driver's seat, honk the horns, and figure out what every weird vehicle in town actually does. Food trucks, entertainment, and a dozen local organizations running hands-on crafts on the side. $5 per person at the door. More info.

Springfest 2026 at Coogan Farm

Saturday May 2nd at Coogan Farm Nature and Heritage Center in Mystic. The Alliance for the Mystic River Watershed turns 3 — and the alewife are back in the river, which is the actual cause for celebration. Free food, performances, games, and a stack of local partners showing what they're up to. Show up, eat, meet the people doing the work. Details.

Galactic Takeover at Mystic Aquarium

Saturday May 2nd, 10:30am — May the Fourth weekend in full effect. Mystic Aquarium turns the place into a galaxy far, far away with costumes and intergalactic activities.
